Tourism
Pieniężno Commune is located within the area of "the
Lungs of Poland", which means clean, full of greenery and not contaminated
by industry
environment. Thus our commune fulfils all the conditions in order to
make the development of tourism, farm tourism and ecological tourism
our priority.
Farmsteads found in the commune do not earn much on their activities and therefore
the establishment of tourist farms may be their opportunity to improve their
economic conditions.
The commune area comprises a large number of abandoned farmsteads. If renovated,
the buildings may serve as tourist chalets. More and more often it is the case
in the commune that land and outbuildings are bought by those who live in remote
cities and intend to spend their free time there.
According to regional development plans tourism is to be the main source of revenue
for the commune. The commune authorities take all efforts and measures to promote
the commune as a place of ideal repose for tourists and guests. A lot of investment
undertakings (sewage treatment plant, sewage system and liquidation of old boiler
houses) were carried out in order to make the commune more attractive.
The commune has a network of roads and utilities with respect to water supply,
sewage, telecommunications and heating systems.
